New Statistics
Although the amount of people killed in car accidents have dropped off in the last decade you might still be surprise to know some new statistics on how many people are killed in car crashes. For instance, every 13 minutes a person in the United States alone is killed in a car crash. Think about that! Just in the U.S. alone. That comes out to 96 people killed a day., or 2,880 killed a month. If you break it down by the year even with the lower statistics it still comes out to 34,560 people killed a year. Compare that to what if a fully loaded B-737 crashed every week for a year. Are you ready for this? It comes out to 7,200, but obviously that will never happen. Aviation remains the safest mode of transportation." Source Cnn "

Very interesting point. I didn't realize that.
