Pilot dies in flight
Today, in Florida there was an interesting case in which a pilot flying passengers aboard a small corporate turbo-prop king Air died in flight. Immediately one of the passengers took over the controls & requested help from the air traffic controllers. The controllers called one of their friends who happened to be a king air pilot & had him instruct the passenger on how to fly the airplane. Normally, you don't see just one pilot flying this type of aircraft even though its legal pending on its use. If the aircraft is being flown for charter operation under regulation 135 it will require two pilots. Most corporate flight departments require two pilots too. The reason for this is to lower insurance premium.
