Vehicle traffic deaths decrease
A report came today that reveal that for the first time in 3 decades car accident deaths fell more then 10% over the last year.
This is the lowest numbers since the government been keeping track starting back from 1966. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates 31,110 people have died in car crashes from January to October of this year. The previous average for the last two decades were in the 40's (41,000). These numbers may reflect that less people are driving because fuel prices were high most of this year. If you look at world wide airline accidents it's not even close. World wide airline accidents average 1000 people killed. In the U.S. that average is about 100 killed in airline accidents per year.

Courtrooms contain every symbol of authority that a set designer could imagine. Everyone stands up when you come in. You wear a costume identifying you as, if not quite divine, someone special.
