Get ready for the constant barrage of incidents reported by the media of aircraft near misses. The media machine is busy exegerating claims everyday of new incidents. Don't get me wrong, runway incursions do happen. Anytime you have humans interacting there is a potential for error. But the media is starting to give you the believe again that small airplanes are dangerous because they're being flown by less experience pilots. The fact of the matter is any pilot crew can make mistakes regardless of the size of the aircraft. Just this week the media reported a near miss between a commuter jet & a large jet. This incident is no different from near misses that happen years ago. The bottom line is that aviation professionals are doing a wonderful job everyday of keeping all of us safe. Safety is no accident.
